THE FORBIDDEN FRUIT

apple tree The Forbidden fruit by Aaron Schnorbitz

This work - Forbidden fruit – is Aaron’ attempt to reconsider the source of the Fall of humanity and analyze the roots of human sin.

According with one of the principles of rubber art (a special artistic method) – came, saw, remade – he takes as a basis the well known classic work of Lucas Cranach the Elder Adam & Eve and changes some key details in aspiration to reach the peak of creative expression and astonish the public.

Aaron affirms that the remake of Lucas Cranach’s painting doesn’t aim to insult the believers, but «gives them the opportunity to reassess the theological dogma about the original sin».

«Temptation and the Fall were always my points of interest», - says Aaron Schnorbitz: «The practical aspect of this issue is particularly interesting for me, so I prefer investigating it personally to feel all pleasant moments of this process. It pushed me to give Adam my appearance, because I always wanted to try walking in his shoes. And Eve… was inspired by my beautiful muse Betty Logan».

Betty Logan (Eat up your pride!)

Here I want to present you my muse - Betty Logan - the woman I met in Honolulu. The woman that changed my life and broke my heart.

Her name was Betty Logan. Betty the dirty angel. Betty the groaning doll. I met her in Honolulu. She was drinking a whiskey when I approached her. Right away I felt she was accessible…very accessible… she was very sexy and she almost stank the lust. A perfect bitch for more than a fair price … some dollars that I paid for her drinks.

Her skin was soft and waxen. Her lips were like juicy leeches, leeches , sucking out my will and dignity. She was vicious to the marrow of her bones. I was enslaved by this ardent beast, supercharged and ........ devastated.

Bizarre… date . You know, Betty, I think that life is a joke, and love is a cigarette smoke.

Some historical facts about the ball gag

Its formation as a symbol traces its roots in middle age when it was used by inquisitors to save their ears from screams of tortured victims. That time the gag represented a hollow steel pipe fixed on a bolt locking mask. The hole allowed breathing, but if one really wanted, it could be stopped up with a finger to asphyxiate the victim.

This device was frequently used on those condemned to flames. The steel gag was particularly wide-spread during the mass burning of heretics. It allowed to avoid condemned’s howls to drown sacred music performed during the execution.

DO IT YOURSELF SERIES

What about doing something with your own hands? Yes, exactly, with these things that you use to manipulate objects and scratch your head. Of course I'm not talking here about something complex, anyway you'll never be able to assemble an IKEA table or  fix a broken pen  ... it's obvious ....but maybe you can start with something simple. For exemple you can try modeling a brass knuckles in dog muck. With years of hard work you will surely master this material. Then you can pass on real stainless steel for doing it. How do you like my step-by-step approach? You think it's too long? Hmmm. You prefer cat's doings cause they're more greasy? It's up to you, man, but stop talking about shit! Anyway DO IT YOURSELF!

RED BALL SERIES

I’m a bird with plastic wings flying in a sky of steel. There’s a red sphere following me in my flight. I can see my reflection in its shiny rubber surface. I’m fascinated by this irreproachable shape as though created to show us our own imperfection. We are paltry in the face of this aesthetic power embedded in this unique form. It’s the basic element of creation. You can’t deny it.

Ancient art is great: dancing satyrs, bearded Gilgamesh, mythic beasts, resurrecting Osiris and so on. The feelings and motion are reflected to perfection. Every curve intensifies the expression of these everlasting creations. They are unique, original, they are real masterpieces – fruits of the best endeavors of human being.
But I always found that they could be improved. Just few touches here and there to give them this inimitable spirit of rubber humor and to emphasize the significance of …my rubber art company. Why not, man! I’m a craft-brother after all!

Hey! And here's a little explanatory comment for the dumb-asses who can't understand the beauty of the foregoing text :

- Come on, sugar. Take it. (_)_)=D
- No, this smacks of perversion (_Y_)
- You wanna say that your friends are perverted whores? (_)_)==D
